The Office of Research Advancement, through the Center for Excellence in Research, collaborates with the Offices of Compliance and Professional Development in training faculty and staff to become more effective in managing and initiating research.
The Real Estate & Asset Management Department is responsible for the acquisition and disposition of all university-owned property, the negotiation and management of all university leases and the management of all leased space. This department also handles:

- McCulloch Townhomes
The Faculty and Staff Housing section provides easy access to program descriptions and application requirements of the different housing assistance programs. A database of properties submitted by indivduals who want to lease or sell their properties to the university is also listed on the Faculty and Housing main page. The database is listed only as a service to match landlords with tenants, and sellers with buyers. To obtain housing assistance, all program applicants must follow required procedures.
The USC Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned by its members, offering a full menu of financial services and dedicated to serving the USC family in three locations.

The Staff Assembly is an officially recognized part of the University governance system and exists to contribute to the success of the University of Southern California and to the growth and welfare of its staff employees. The Assembly is comprised of 60 members plus the immediate past-president. Members of the Staff Assembly come from the University Park and Health Sciences campuses and represent both non-exempt and exempt employees. The Staff Assembly does not represent any employee covered by a collective bargaining agreement (union employees). Assembly members are elected by the staff of the university to serve two-year terms.
The Academic Senate is the representative body of the entire faculty at USC, consisting primarily of representatives elected by Faculty Councils. As a voice for faculty working with the university administration, it strives to further the academic mission and integrity of the university as a community of scholars, artists and professionals dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge.

The Academic Senate Committee on Faculty Rights and Responsibilities plays the important role of supporting faculty who may find themselves in trouble. When employees are injured or ill, it is our desire to assist them in a quick recovery and return to meaningful employment. USC’s Stay at Work/Return to Work Program provides staff members, who have either an occupational or non-occupational injury/illness and are unable to return to full regular duties immediately, with a safe, timely transition back to work with modified duties based on medical restrictions until released to full duties.
